When I was a kid I loved the movie THE BLACK HOLE. I think I actually just really loved the robot designs more than anything else in the movie cause they stole the show. Well that’s not entirely true, the score was phenomenal also, John Barry did a masterful job of scoring the film.
I gotta say after having just watched it again for the first time in say 25 years or so, that the ending is, how can I put this, a bit heavy handed. I still really enjoyed the movie but the ending just kinda stuck in my throat a bit and was hard to swallow.
As a kid this one got a 5/5, but as an adult I’m gonna have to subtract a few points for ham-fisted ending that is kinda silly. 4.25/5, a good watch for sure and pretty enjoyable even thought they beat you over the head with the ending :D
